How this version handles your data

Customer accounts save your name, email, mobile number, registration time and consent version on our server until you delete your account. Contact details are self-reported and not verified. The owner can view them for account and reading support; registration alone is not permission for marketing. An optional checkbox, initially checked for new registrations, lets you choose whether to receive AstroNiva promotional WhatsApp, SMS and email messages and calls. You can untick it before creating your account. Your latest preference, update time and terms acceptance version/time are saved separately. Change or withdraw promotional permission in My account → Terms & promotional preferences. Older accounts default to no permission; no historical terms agreement is assumed. Passwords use salted hashes. Password recovery sends a six-digit email verification code using our SMTP provider. Only a hash is stored; codes expire after 10 minutes, allow five attempts and are removed after use or expiry. Requests are limited to one per minute and new codes replace earlier ones. Registration does not verify email ownership. Sign-in uses a separate HttpOnly session cookie for up to 12 hours. Logout revokes the session; recovery revokes all sessions. Delete your account from the Account page using your password. Previously sent WhatsApp/email messages and operator backups may remain separately. Attempts are limited using hashed email identifiers retained for up to one hour. Shop catalogue exports exclude customer profiles and credentials. Permanent private storage, restricted backups and a retention policy are needed before public launch.

Creating a Kundli sends the birth details you enter to AstroNiva's server. The server uses Prokerala for astrology calculations and Geoapify to resolve the timezone. Searching for a birthplace sends the search text to Geoapify.

Kundli Matching sends both birth dates, times and coordinates to Prokerala; Geoapify receives coordinates to resolve the two timezones. The matching integration does not send names to these providers. Matching inputs and results are held in page memory and are not added to browser storage or the saved-chart library. Leaving or reloading the matching page clears them.

The shop cart stores only product IDs and quantities in this browser’s local storage. Customer names, WhatsApp numbers, optional email, delivery addresses, landmarks and order notes remain in page memory; the shop does not save them in its database. Opening a WhatsApp or email draft shares the prepared order, contact and delivery details with the chosen external app; you send it yourself. AstroNiva receives the message and can reply there. WhatsApp/email retention applies to those messages. No payment details are collected by the current shop.

The shop owner dashboard saves the product catalogue and compressed product photographs on AstroNiva’s server disk. Uploaded images are re-encoded without the original metadata. Owner access uses a salted password hash and an HttpOnly session cookie lasting up to 12 hours; the shop does not save the plaintext password. Signing out revokes that session, and changing the password revokes all owner sessions. Removing a photo from a listing stops it being served, but older disk copies and previously downloaded backups may remain. Downloaded shop backups contain catalogue details and uploaded photographs, not login credentials. The current local installation needs permanent server storage and a backup policy before public launch.

When the WhatsApp bot is connected, Meta sends incoming messages to a signature-verified server endpoint. Text is processed temporarily to identify order requests or support menu commands; it is not saved in the shop database or sent to Gemini. The server keeps hashed message and sender identifiers, timestamps and reply attempt states for up to 30 days to prevent duplicates and limit abuse. Cleanup occurs when messages are processed. WhatsApp and your business chat retain messages under their own settings. The bot does not verify payments or access courier tracking.

The current chart is stored in your browser's session storage. Choosing Save chart stores its birth details and report in local storage on this device. Exported JSON backups also contain these details. No account sync is provided in this version.

You can remove saved charts from the Saved charts page. Removing a saved chart does not erase separately downloaded backups or an open session copy. Close the browser session or clear this site's browser data to clear remaining local copies. Browser storage is not encrypted by AstroNiva.

The consultation invitation may appear after about two and a half minutes of browsing. It is skipped during checkout and sensitive forms. A session-storage flag remembers that it was shown, so it does not repeat in that browser session. Its name, phone and topic fields stay in page memory; nothing is submitted until you choose WhatsApp and send the enquiry there.

Consultation enquiry forms keep your name, contact number, question, chosen language, session/report format, optional preferred date and contact time, chart readiness and (where relevant) requested year in page memory. They prepare a reviewed message with an enquiry reference; enquiry questions and preferences are not saved in the website database; your separate account contact profile is saved with registration consent and no appointment is reserved. They do not submit a booking to AstroNiva. Choosing WhatsApp opens the configured business number with the message; choosing email opens your email app. Only send information you intend to share. WhatsApp, email and your browser may retain the message or its link according to their own settings. Downloading enquiry text saves a copy on your device.

The AI guide, when enabled for private preview, sends the question, chosen answer language and up to three recent question/answer pairs to Google Gemini through AstroNiva’s server. Your saved Kundli is not automatically included. Conversations stay in page memory and are cleared by the Clear conversation button, leaving the page or reloading it. They are not automatically saved to browser storage. The integration uses the Gemini API free tier. Google may use inputs and outputs to improve products, and human reviewers may process them. Do not enter personal, sensitive or confidential information. Provider retention policies still apply. The preview access code is checked by AstroNiva and is not sent to Google Gemini.

Panchang place search sends your typed place name to AstroNiva’s own server to search a bundled GeoNames database; it makes no external location API request and does not store searches in an application database. The Panchang and Moon-based daily guide calculate locally in your browser. Their selected date, city coordinates and Moon sign are not sent to Prokerala or Gemini, and these tools do not save them. The site must load first; offline availability of these pages is not provided.

The installation service worker caches a public offline page and public app icons. It does not cache astrology API responses or Kundli report pages. Fresh provider-based Kundli and matching calculations require an internet connection.

This page describes the implemented development behavior. Before public launch, the operator must add their identity, contact address, retention practices and details of the final hosting and third-party services.
